Experienced Logistics Coordinator Wanted– Join Our Dynamic Logistics Team!

Are you a seasoned Logistics professional with a knack for managing and arranging safe transit of truck shipments? We’re looking for a highly skilled Logistics Coordinator to oversee our diverse shipment activities, including LTL, intermodal, temperature-controlled, and dry van. If you’re ready to make a significant impact in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Truck Procurement & Delivery Coordination: Secure trucks, arrange deliveries, and negotiate rates for product orders at all TKI and third-party Toller facilities.
  • Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with plants, terminals, and customer service to confirm the status of pending deliveries.
  • Logistics Collaboration: Work closely with the Logistics department and business units to ensure adequate inventory levels at plants and terminals for seamless deliveries.
  • Customer Support: Address and resolve customer issues and inquiries professionally.
  • Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising service quality.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and nurture relationships with internal and external service providers.
  • Cross-Training: Support and cross-train on other departmental truck-related duties.
  • Professional Conflict Management: Provide exceptional customer service on transportation-related inquiries and manage conflicts efficiently.
  • Efficiency & Timeliness: Establish proper courses of action to ensure timely and efficient work product completion.
  • Analytical Problem-Solving: Identify, understand, and resolve issues by comparing data from various sources and making informed decisions.
  • Training Development: Create and develop training materials to enhance team capabilities.

Profile

What we need from you:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in transportation or a related environment.
  • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations (49CFR) and NMFC.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Effective listening and strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to maintain stable performance under pressure and manage stressful environments.
  • Capability to train individuals with varying skill levels.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to see the bigger picture across functionalities.
  • High standards of performance and accountability for completing tasks successfully.
