DYKA celebrates 60 years
From an installation company to an international system manufacturer
DYKA, the plastic pipe manufacturer from Steenwijk, is celebrating its 60th anniversary and all of its nineteen branches throughout the country will be marking this special occasion. A three day event will be held to put its customers in the spotlight.
“Sixty years of experience, development and knowhow – not many companies can boast such a comprehensive track record. DYKA did not sit back and wait for things to happen during those sixty years. Instead, the company actively drove its development from a local installation company into an international player with its own local approach in each of the countries where it is present. The Netherlands, Belgium, France, Poland, the Czech Republic...everywhere. DYKA made its mark in the sectors of sewerage, drinking water, rain water management and indoor climate management” explained DYKA’s Commercial Director Eric-Jan Rutten.
60 years old – yet still young and dynamic every day!
That all-encompassing approach to the market is what makes DYKA the unique company it is today. “We do not limit ourselves to producing one single type of pipe. Instead we manufacture systems for a wide range of applications, we come up with new materials and we supply new services” explained Rutten. “For instance, at our branch in Alkmaar you can obtain DYKA solutions 24/7. This is due to the fact that our focus is on the customer, not on the product. And we always try to be close at hand for our customers.”
DYKA will be implementing a few major changes during this anniversary year. “We will be rolling out a new corporate design throughout Europe that symbolizes our extensive range of solutions and dynamics” stated Rutten. “In addition, we will be launching our new website: A practical webshop filled with information and documentation, solution-oriented advice and interesting news. DYKA might be 60 years old, but we are fully up-to-date with our evolving environment.”
Open Day
DYKA kicked off its birthday celebrations last weekend in Steenwijk with an Open Day for local residents, family members of its staff, as well as customers. In the production area of the company the guests were shown that DYKA is much more than a pipe manufacturer. “We are part of society. We invest in employment, the economy is on the road to recovery and we deliver comfort to the homes of many people. Those represent ample reasons for having a party” concluded Rutten.
