TG receives award for most innovative investment in France (PIM)

Tessenderlo Group received an award last week in recognition of it being one of the best Belgian investors in France. Specifically, the award for the most innovative investment related to our new electrolysis plant in Loos. A total of 12 companies were nominated for awards and the event was organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) France Belgium, in collaboration with the Business France agency and Trends-Tendances magazine, and in partnership with KBC Corporate Banking, Nord France. The Best Investor Award (PMI) 2018 recognizes structuring and innovative investments that were made during the years 2016 and 2017. Our CEO Luc Tack received the award from Madame Claude-France Arnould, Ambassador of France to Belgium.

The award related to our recent investment in our new electrolysis plant in Loos, where we now have the best available technology for the production of chlorine, sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide. We are extremely proud of this award and I would like to thank all of the colleagues who contributed and made this possible. Investing in France has brought us a lot of fun and a lot of energy. Our French activities – which include Akiolis Group, Tessenderlo Kerley Rouen, DYKA France and our Performance Chemicals site in Loos – play a crucial role in our group. We employ 1,400 people in France, realized 360.6 million EUR in turnover in 2017 (equating to 22% of the group turnover for the year) and invested 112 million EUR in the period 2015-2017 in our French activities. All of these investments, combined with a constant focus on operational excellence, will enable us to lay a solid foundation for the future development of Tessenderlo Group in France,” commented Luc Tack (CEO Tessenderlo Group).
